Immensely popular Danish singer Sys Bjerre is even more well known in Denmark than she was this time last year – after appearing on their version of Så Mycket Bättre over the winter. So naturally, she’s capitalising on all of this by releasing some new music. And thankfully, said new music comes in the form of this delightful tune – ‘Hey Vanessa’.
It’s so bright, upbeat, and sweet, it’s like the audio equivalent of drinking a litre of Sunny Delight. Mmmmmm.
It’s the strings, the strings! They’re adorable. They make themselves known during the first chorus and there’s no denying their bare faced charm. Of course Sys herself does her bit in the charm stakes also, having gotten the whole cute-as-a-button thing down to a tee. And the production on the track is pure sugar. Well, slightly more fashion forward low calorie sweetener anyway.
