Danish girlband Sukkerchok are searching for a new third member via a television show. The final is taking place tomorrow, when the winning girl will be chosen. The second Sukkerchok album is one we’re looking forward to hugely, as their debut was one of our favourites of last year (we awarded it ‘Best Debut Album’ at the scandipop awards at the turn of the year).
For now though, they’ve appeared on Danish tv this week to perform their new single ‘I De Tusind Drømmes Nat’. It’s a very nice little ballad, in the same vein as a Ryan Tedder composition – quite beat heavy, and with definite influences from Beyonce’s ‘Halo’. What’s interesting about the performance is that each of the three finalists in the running to become the third member, get a turn performing it. So at the end of the first chorus, we see one girl walk off and another take her place etc.
You can watch the performance here. It’s the third and bottom video of the three.
