In the summer of last year, we wrote a couple of bits about Norwegian pop boy, Tom Stereo. Here and here, should your memory need refreshing. He’s a D.I.Y. popstar who has taken a shine to the cheesier side of dance pop music. So naturally, we have in turn, taken a bit of a shine to him!
Well he’s back with a brand new single – ‘Ego’. It’s more of the same really, so our interest is still all present and correct. Cheap and cheerful pop music taken to a club, plied with 2-for-1 cocktails, and plastered in heavy make-up and drag. This time around though, we’ve got a pop vid to go along with it! Like the song, it’s also cheap and cheerful, and it actually features that club we mentioned in the sentence above. And the cocktails. And the heavy make-up and drag too! We like it, because just when you start to get incredulous that it might actually be taking itself seriously, it brings itself right back down to earth at the finale with a humorous ending.
