A collaboration between two scandipopstars now – Norway’s Stella Mwangi featuring Sweden’s Mohombi.
The song is ‘Hula Hoop’ and it’s the latest single to be taken from Stella’s ‘Kinanda’ album (And it wouldn’t sound too out of place on Mohombi’s album either). Sonically, it’s more ‘Lookie Lookie’ than ‘Haba Haba’. So in that sense, it’s the music and the production that hypotises here, rather than any big pop melody. Still, it’s a deceivingly catchy little number that burrows its way into your head without being too obvious about it.

It’s quite nice to see that the two of them actually got together in the same room and filmed it side by side, rather than faxing in their contributions separately, and having it muddled together. And they really do suit each other too.
