What’s this? After releasing one of the absolute best Finnish-language releases of 2020, Finland’s own Viivi is back with what could well end up being one of the best of 2021. Her new single ‘USA’.
Is it about, like, the country? I mean, it might be, but our Finnish is non-existant to the point where we would definitely not like to confirm either way.
What’s it like? Non-existant Finnish or not, there’s no denying that this tune is a top-tier pop moment. That chorus is so good, it should be given the key to some random American city – the bigger the better, so as to befit such an almighty refrain. And said melody has been paired beautifully with a lush production.
