What’s this? The latest single from Swedish artist, songwriter and producer Vera Hotsauce. Her best song to date (aka the first one of hers that we’ve actually liked) – ‘One Time’.
What’s so good about this one? What can we say – that sweet pop melody layered over a intelligently-fun, ’80s-esque production is a formula that rarely fails to grab us by the proverbials. And it turns out that Vera does it so very well. With an artist surname like Hotsauce, we knew it was only a matter of time.
What does Vera say? “One Time is very straight forward. It’s about wanting something so bad but you know it’s not gonna go anywhere, you just really hope that it will. Every time you go down that road and you tell yourself that ”this was the last time” it always happens again.”
Written by? Vera herself, as well as Jerker Hansson ( who has written for Jess Glyne, Zara Larsson, Charli XCX and Noah Cyrus) and Robokid.
More from Vera? Knock yourselves out, guys!
