VanbotSeven

The new single? Indeed! The second to be taken from Vanbot’s forthcoming second album ‘Perfect Storm’. ‘Seven’ was released today and follows on from ‘Trooper’.
What’s it like? As always with Vanbot tunes, it’s icy synth music with a twist and a spin on it to set it aside somewhat from her contemporaries. In the case of ‘Seven’, it’s an erratic eighties-esque drum beat that stands out, along with equally all-over-the-place synths and sounds. At the core of it all though, is Vanbot pouring her heart out. “It would be better not to know – I’m getting too emotional”.
When’s the album out? May 15th. And is something to be VERY excited about, according to her press team: “This new album combines catchy melodies with warped synthezisers, euforic vocals and evocative beats. The songs find tension in these contrasts, giving Vanbot a darker vein in her music. The album is produced/mixed by Johannes Berglund who’s been working with artists like The Knife and Shout Out Louds. The songs are written by Vanbot and cowritten with Jan Kask (Say Lou Lou, Tove Styrke) and Adam Olenius (Shout Out Louds)”.
