What’s this? A smashing bit of synthpop that’s just come beaming out of Denmark. Ung Sol, featuring Andrea on vocals, ‘Jeg Vil La’ Lyset Brænde’.
What’s it like? It’s a cover version of the ’90s Danish classic by Ray Dee Ohh. The right reverence has been paid to the song, with the charming retro touch maintained. If anything, they’ve gone about five years further back than the original for some sonic influence! But with enough of a modern touch for the song to be enjoyed by a whole new generation (or two or three).
