Swedish artist SVEA is back with her first new tune in an absolute age. Her latest single is called ‘Iconic’ – a brave title that is in itself a lot to live up to. Mercifully, mere seconds into the first verse, we realise that she’s on the right track by delivering the lyric “even Midas wouldn’t me, he knows I’m already gold” with all of the unwavering attitude that is required of it. What unfolds after that is a super-fun bubblegum pop track on which she gets to harmonise, rap, and make us familiar with what is sounding like an exciting new chapter for her.
