We know it’s only 18 days into the year, but we also just KNOW that this is going to end up as one of our absolute favourite songs of 2016 too. It’s a song that sounds like if Sia was going to pen a track for Eurovision. And in actual fact it could well end up being in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. It’s ‘Heart Shaped Hole’ by Simone, and it’s currently the bookies favourite to win the Danish Melodi Grand Prix next month, and end up representing Denmark in May. It’s a JAW DROPPER of a tune. That first chorus you hear? It’s amazing isn’t it? And yet merely a prelude to the dual chorused monster that reveals itself less than a minute later. If the Danes don’t choose this song to represent them, then they don’t deserve to win Eurovision and should quite frankly sit out another year in the semis. (More from us on the other 9 Danish songs, as well as Finland, Iceland and Norway’s hopefuls later in the week)
