Shirley Clamp has just released her first ever solo Christmas album (and who could forget her previous efforts with Sanna och Sonja!). On it, there are well performed covers of the usual lot of festive classics. But amongst them all, is a brand new song – ‘Första Julen Utan Dig’. Written by Shirley herself, along with Erik Linder and Peter Englund (with production from Amir Aly), it’s a gorgeous addition to the brilliantly produced Christmas album, and a welcome blast of fresh new music.
