What’s this? Finnish artist Rosi has released an interpolation of what is probably Finland’s second-most iconic Eurovision song of all time. ‘Bye Bye Baby’.
The taste. It was only a matter of time before yet another generation unearthed the CatCat camp classic and bestowed upon it further cult status.
What’s she done with it? Kept the chorus, made her own verse. Given it a scintilating synthpop production. Perfect.
What does Rosi say? “I wanted to write my own story within this song that inspired me as a kid. Sometimes it’s better to be alone and say bye bye to things that won’t take you anywhere anymore.”
Written by? Aleksanteri Hulkko, Anniina Timonen, Kari Salli, Markku Lentonen and Rosamaria Siitonen.
More from Rosi? We’ve been big fans of her previous two singles – ‘Kysy Mult‘ and ‘Mun Itseni Kaa‘.
