What’s this? New music from the Swedish artist Rhys – her latest single ‘Cry Over Me’.
What’s it like? An instant keeper, this one. Straight-up, top-notch, super-catchy pop music that has zero time to fuck around – it just gives you precisely what you want there and then. Contains definite shades of some mid’00s Max Martin smashes, and is all the better for it.
What does Rhys say? “This song is a projection of my pettiest sides. It’s about an ending and wanting someone to fail and regret everything and fall apart without you. It was an extremely fun song to write and create since it really took me back to my childhood and me standing on my bed rocking out with my litte American Idol karaoke machine.”
Written by? Rhys herself, along with Joel Gunnarsson, Jonathan Belilini and Olle Tidblom.
More from Rhys? Well she’s released three other singles this year, but the less said about them the better. This song is very much a return to form for her.
