Last year we featured this track by these two Swedish gents who are quite big on the dance music scene. RedTop for his remixes of ‘4’ era Beyoncé singles, and Niklas for his collabs with Avicii. Together they released a single, ‘Heartbeat’. and turned their talents to something which is a lot more POP. Thus, our ears pricked up and our sugary appetite was satisfied. ‘Heartbeat’ was a tune and a half. One of those dancepop bangers that lifts you up with its monster melody, and then knocks you out again with its dance breakdown. The chorus on this one is particularly sublime. Written by Tony Nilsson (aka one of the most consistently amazing songwriters of our time – we have a total ear-crush on his back catalogue), Fernando Fuentes (another name whom if it’s on the songwriting credits, we’ll check it out), and RedTop himself! Fernando Fuentes is also on vocal duties. ANYWAY – the reason we’re featuring it on here again in 2016, is because Red Top has just released a remix EP which takes the song to all new heights. He’s broken it down into genres and given us a tropical mix, a chill mix, and an EDM mix. Listen to all the new ‘uns below, along with the glorious original.
