What’s this? Patrik Jean has today released a new version of his Melodifestivalen hit ‘Tears Run Dry’.
What’s he done with it? He’s stripped it back to its core and presented it in an acoustic re-imagining – bringing the lyrics to the fore and adapting his vocals to fit the newly exposed fragility in his words.
What does Patrik say? “I think it’s cool that the same song can evoke different emotions depending on what version it is performed in. I wanted to make an acoustic version where the lyrics are in focus and I get to show an even more vulnerable side. It feels like I’m getting closer to the listener somehow.”
Written by? Patrik himself, along with Melanie Wehbe and Herman Gardarfve, with Herman on production duties on both the original version and this new version?
