I recognise that extended name! That may be because you follow Norwegian Melodi Grand Prix. In 2012 Nora competed with ‘Somewhere Beautiful’. Finishing in the top four (with Tooji’s ‘Stay’ going on to win).
And now she’s back? Back with a bang! This weekend she just went and won the latest series of Stjernekamp on Norwegian TV.
Stjernekamp?! An odd but pretty amazing concept in which existing popstars compete in an X Factor or Idol style competition – performing both cover versions and new songs of their own. It’s been running for three years in the Norway now, but we’d love it to take off in Sweden. And the UK too for that matter.
What’s ‘Berlin Wall’ like? It’s a song written for her by Karin Park (most famous recently for penning Margaret Berger’s ‘I Feed You My Love’). An inspirational r&b ballad that SOARS.
And where does ‘Too Late For Love’ fit into all of this? Well it’s a song that’s been included on the ‘Berlin Wall’ single. She actually released it as a single itself in July, but it totally passed us by. But it’s amazing. And you should check it out. We’re glad she’s included it on the new single.
