All through 2023, Finnish newcomer Neea River has been dropping the bops – and now comes her fourth, and possibly her final one for the year. On ‘Cyanide’ she treats us to a chugging electronica production with plenty of punch and power. Over the top of it has been placed a particularly mighty pop chorus, and one with a superb lyric of vitriol – “I’m not spending my life searching for an antidote to your poison… your cyanide“. Love it. Love all of it!
