What’s this? New music from one of Sweden’s most irresistible vocalists, Molly Hammar. Her latest single and video ‘Douchebag’.
Douchebag? “Fuck you, you’re a douchebag. You walk around like you’re a big man. You got plenty hoes on your facetime. What a douche, what a douche, what a douche.”
Fire. What’s it like? A revved-up r&b number that makes no apologies for calling it precisely how it is. Marches in, makes its point, and leaves you there to process what’s just happened.
What does Molly say? “‘Douchebag’ is the most honest song I’ve ever written. We wrote it in one day and the majority of the song was recorded the same day. I basically went straight from the club to the studio hungover, but more tired from all these men behaving like douchebags. This song is a reminder to myself and everyone affected by my story, to stop letting people treat you badly.”
Written by? Molly herself, along with Sebastian Atas.
More from Molly? In 2020 she released two of her finest singles to date – ‘Alone’ and ‘Get To Know Me First’.
