What’s this? Swedish artist Moa Lignell is back with her first new music in three years – new single ‘Born To Be’.
What’s it like? A gorgeous guitar-based song in which she showcases that same flawless knack for crafting melodies that she displayed at THAT Idol audition all those years ago. This song also has a very subtle 80s-synth-ballad undertone that we’re sensing, and it’s all the better for it.
What does Moa say? “Born To Be. The song I wrote a year ago when I was sitting at home and longing for you all. I wanted to launch the songs and be immeasurably happy with everything. I build up so many dreams and expectations that I can get an uncontrolled zeal in my body. In those moments, I can feel that I’m not really standing firmly on my legs. Writing ‘Born To Be’ became a way for me to sharpen. I want to be who I was born to be. As simple as that. No frills.”
Written by? Moa herself, along with Robert Qwarforth.
