What’s this? Sweden’s premier pop princess Zara Larsson has teamed up with UK producer, singer, songwriter and ARTISTE extraordinaire MNEK to record a new song together. It got its premiere on BBC Radio 1 last night, and is released TODAY. ‘Never Forget You’.
What’s it like? A shit hot club ballad set right in 2015. We can’t quite decide what our favourite bit is – its tantalising first minute or its climactic final minute. Everything in between in pretty immense too, as it happens.
What else is Zara up to right now? She’s becoming MEGA successful. ‘Lush Life’ has officially become the most streamed song of the summer in Sweden, also achieving platinum status in Norway and Denmark. And ‘Uncover’ is one of the most streamed tracks of 2015 in France (and one other European country that we can’t remember the name of right now, sorry). In the UK, ‘Lush Life’ is being prepped and prioritised for big things by her new UK label. And we can see her going STRATOSPHERIC. As she sodding well should. ‘Never Forget You’ is yet another ph’nom pop song to add to her already bejeweled repertoire of tunes, and one that will elevate it into an even higher status.
