What’s this? The brand-new single and video from Danish artist Medina, released this weekend. ‘Holding On’.
Her first English language release in a while, right? Not counting any features, this is her first English language release in over two years, on US dance label Spinnin Records.
It’s dance?!!! Dance-y. We’d mark this down as an electro-ballad that, melodically, is very much in line with Medina’s biggest and bestest releases to date – whether in Danish or English. What makes ‘Holding On’ stand out on its own, is the early-00s trance elements that have been incorporated throughout parts of the song. They make for an atmospheric listen, with two different sides and shades.
