One of Denmark’s biggest popstars of the past decade is back this week with a new release. It’s Medina – and ‘Beautiful’ (an English language version of ‘Det Smukkeste’ from earlier this year). Produced by her long-time collaborators The Pitchshifters, it’s a gorgeous slice of mellow dancepop – made all the more intriguing by a melancholic vocal delivery from that inimitable pop voice. It’s that glorious mix of bright production and dark melody.
