What’s this? Swedish artist MALEE is out with a rather fabulous new tune that goes by the name of ‘Dior’.
Dior?! “my dior – I’m not gonna waste it anymore“. It’s a break-up anthem, folks!
What’s it like? Despite the subject matter, it’s actually an infectiously laidback pop tune. Rich in production, summer-flavoured, and with a clever way of telling its story.
What does MALEE say? ”’Dior’ is about realising your self-worth and a personal story about breaking free from a destructive relationship. When I first started working on Dior, I was in a place where I often doubted myself. During the songwriting process, I began to reflect on my relationship and understand the importance of being selective to whom you give your love and attention. I think that is the key to find happiness in yourself.”
Written by? The artist himself, along with Joel Sjöö, who produced it with Thomas Nielsen.
More from MALEE? He’ll soon release his debut EP – the first single taken from it was ‘Dodgeball‘.
