What’s the song? Only Carola’s disco-schlager masterpiece, ‘Säg Mig Var Du Står’!
Disco. Schlager. Masterpiece. I’m in. And now the song has been given a whole new lease of life in the most wonderful of ways.
What’s Little Jinder done to it? Mercifully, she’s maintained the up-tempo, arms-aloft, sing-hallelujah tone of the original, but she’s given it a thoroughly modern piano-house makeover. It’s an absolute epic, reinvented for the ages.
This is excellent! Take me to the original, while you’re at it. Carola’s version came out on her 1983 debut album ‘ Främling’, and you can listen to it right here. That itself was a cover version of the 1981 hit ‘Why Tell Me Why’ by Dutch Anita Meyer.
