What’s this? It’s been a while since Danish artist Lærke Emilie first burst onto the scene – over three years, in fact. But now she’s back and she’s bringing with her a whole new sound, on new single ‘Holder Længe’.
And what’s that new sound? It bangs.
What does Lærke say? “It’s basically about coming to terms with the fact that nothing lasts forever. Not even the people, the things or the relations we love the most. A subject sounding like something fit for a ballad. But this is not at all what ‘Holder Længe’ is. It’s a high-energy, 2 minutes and 10 seconds long, house-inspired “no-fucks-given” track. Because sometimes dwelling on misery just isn’t the answer. Sometimes you just need shake it off.”
Written by? Lærke herself, along with Kailash Chatterjee and Ben Legit.
