SONG: KEiiNO – ‘ADDJAS’

Is it for me? The most generous band in pop are back with another gift for all of us.
Can I open it now? It probably *is* best to open it now before they return again with the next gift in another two weeks from now (probably).
I love it! What is it? With ‘ADDJAS’, they’ve delivered a sign of the times – a synthpop-inpsired electro banger. It’s like they heard what Raylee did when they performed with her at Melodi Grand Prix (WE WILL NOT FORGET) and though: “oh yeah, we should have a go at that too“. But of course, their brand of ’80s pop has been produced with a very clear and definite KEiiNO spin on it. Theirs is also an anthem about the fight for equality and the right to love who you love – released for Pride Month.
What do KEiiNO say?Áddjá means grandfather in the traditional Sami language, but is also meant to symbolise your inner voice which advises you to be who you are, never give up, and fight for what you believe in.
Written by? KEiiNO, along with Alexander Olsson and Rüdiger Schramm.
