What’s this? It’s been a while since we last heard from Swedish artist Juliander – since 2019, in fact. But he’s back with a new sound and a brand-new single – ‘If I Can’t Have You’.
What’s it like? A dreamy pop tune with its roots in an organic kind of electronica – so uplifting that you allow yourself to be taken away on the journey that is the story he’s telling.
What does Juliander say? “The song is about the feeling of being alone rather than not being allowed to spend the rest of your life with that ‘special’ person. To experience that feeling is the only thing that matters and life feels meaningless without it. I started writing ‘If I Can’t Have You’ at home with a guitar riff and simple drums. I immediately felt that it had something special, continued to write and within 30 minutes the song was ready. I’ve probably never been so excited about a song before and that feeling was absolutely huge. It has been exciting to create the production by oneself and it will be so fun to finally share it with the world.”
Written by? Written and produced by Juliander himself.
