SONG: Ina Wroldsen – ‘Body Parts’

  • Reading time:2 mins read

What’s this? The brand-new single from Norway’s finest, Ina Wroldsen. This is ‘Body Parts’.
What does Ina say? “Body Parts is about pressure. The pressure young people are exposed to on a daily basis through everyday life as well as social media. From appearance to achievements it’s all too much! We’re constantly chasing perfection when really, whilst chasing, we lose ourselves along the way. So here’s my take on this.”
What does Scandipop say? We’re glad she gave that explanation because on first listen to those lyrics, we actually jumped to the wrong conclusion entirely, thought it was an anti-trans anthem, and panicked that we would have to boycott  her forever more. It was early on a Friday morning and coffee had yet to be brewed. And we’re dumb af.
Written by? Ina herself, along with Jesse Shatkin, and produced by Fraser T Smith.
More from Ina? For something a little more up-tempo, do check out her recent collab with Dynoro, ‘Obsessed‘.
