Swedish duo Icona Pop made a welcome return last month with the release of brand new single ‘Brightside’. It’s a thoroughly charming pop song that plays like it’s heralding in a new sonic era for the girls, while simultaneously coming off as a delayed progression from their very earliest songs. In short – yeah it’s pretty damn good. ‘Brightside’ was written by Icona Pop, along with Mr Rogers, Frederic Kennett, and Joni Fatora. And over the weekend they released a spiffing remix EP for the song – featuring four very different versions of it (drum & bass, RAVE, trap, and electrohouse – if you must know). Check it out below, along with the music video for the single AND a huge performance they gave of the song this week, at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert.
