What’s this? The Icelandic artist Heidrunna is out with a brand-new tune – her latest single ‘Erasing You’.
What’s it like? Bubbly synthpop that is selective in the influences it takes from the ’80s, using them to paint its very own soundscape for you to explore for the first time.
What does she say? “I wrote ‘Erasing You’ while on a writing trip in Sweden. Like a lot of my songs it’s about commitment and phobia. The pull and tug of relationships – does he love me or not! The groundhog day and the emotions and tiredness of stopping and starting and deciding that maybe the only way to stop it is to erase everything about that person and never pick up the phone again.”
Written by? The artist herself, along with Patrick Koky, with production by Liam Howe.
More from Heidrunna? Her debut album Melodramatic is released this Spring.
