After ‘Keep On Movin’, Norwegian artist Hanne Leland is back with a brand new synthpop tune. The suitably titled ‘Queen’. It’s a bright and bubbly hands-in-the-air slice of pure POP in which she heralds a “brand new era and I’m not afraid to be a Queen”. Hanne is currently touring the UK as support for All Saints. We caught her performance last night at the O2 Brixton Academy. A six song set during which she lorded over the stage, belting out euphoric melodies over Robyn-worthy electropop productions (which sounded awesome in a live setting). She succeeded in making us yearn hard for the forthcoming EP. But until then you can check out ‘Keep On Movin’ and ‘Into U’.
You can find ‘Queen’ on our Best New Pop playlist.
