What’s this? Swedish artist Freddy Hale has just released a beauty of a tune – his new single ‘Past Life’.
What’s it like? It’s a dreamy synthpop tune that increases in tempo throughout the first minute, before settling on its perfect groove and not relenting from it. The song is crafted in an non-traditional manner – in terms of pop, at least – by putting almost all focus on the hook, and never straying too far from it. The end result is an engaging listen that leaves its mark on you.
