Swedish duo First Aid Kit have got a new album coming out soon – ‘Ruins’. The big highlight to have come from it so far is the gorgeous ballad ‘Fireworks’. A song that not only evokes the feelings of classic First Aid Kit, but goes even further back – to the fifties – to draw some sonic inspiration. And over the weekend, the pair released the music video for the single. Taking us not as far back as the fifties for the visuals, but to the eighties – for a high school prom. It’s their best song in years, and most definitely their best video since ‘Blue‘.
