What’s this? The talented Danish-Icelandic sister duo EYJAA – that’s Brynja and Sara – have returned with their second single. This is ‘The Wrecking Crew’.
What’s it like? Far from the attitude-laden firecracker you’d expect from a song with that title, ‘The Wrecking Crew’ is actually an incredibly beautiful and moving pop mid-tempo, that takes some of its influences from folk and country.
What do EYJAA say? “Going through life we all experience challenges that we tend to overthink or simply misunderstand within ourselves. ‘The Wrecking Crew’ is about how you are never alonewith your thoughts. Really, it can be just as beautiful to be sad as it can to be happy. It’s just human emotions, and they are not unknown to any of us.”
Written by? Lukas Nathanson and Maya Nalani.
More from EYJAA? Back in February we featured their debut single on here – ‘Don’t Forget About Me‘.
