What’s this? Icelandic artist Elín Ey has just gone and released this year’s official Reykjavík Pride song. Her new single ‘Ljósið’.
What does that mean? The Light!
What’s it like? A super-cool concoction of synth, disco, dance and indie-pop. As with everything else they do in 2020, Iceland are taking a more out-there approach to the standard Pride song!
What does Elín say? “The message is clear in the song – it’s all about having the freedom to be yourself. Everyone can be as they please.”
Written by? Elín herself, along with Pálmi Ragnar Ásgeirsson and Ragnheiður Guðmunds.
