Eh? So yeah. Drömhus have embarked on something of a revival in Sweden this year, doing a club tour around the nation. And to tie-in with their new popularity, they’ve today released a 2015 version of their biggest hit ‘Vill Ha Dig’. Or rather, three versions.
Remind us. Drömhus? Drömhus were one of the biggest selling acts in Sweden in the 90s. ‘Vill Ha Dig’ being one of the biggest and most enduring Swedish dance hits OF ALL TIME (itself a cover of the FreeStyle original). They also had another stonking great hit ‘Stjärna På Himmelen’ – which came 2nd in Melodifestivalen 1999. What did it lose to? Eventual Eurovision Song Contest winner ‘Take Me To Your Heaven’ (Tusen och en Natt) by Charlotte Nilsson. And of course Drömhus also ended up launching the international career of lead singer Therese – who is still to this day releasing dancepop gems that we’re living for!
So what are these new versions like? Like 2015 remakes of ‘Vill Ha Dig’. What else?!
It’s the summer of ‘Vill Ha Dig’ all over again! It quite well could be. Anton Ewald has also released his own interpolation of the song recently. And his arrangement will not. Get. Out. Of. Our. HEAD. Soooo catchy.
