What’s this? Ahead of the release of his debut album early next year, Iceland’s Daniel Oliver is back with the third single to be taken from it. This is ‘The Worst Time’.
What’s it like? Something a little different from the first two singles. The ’80s vibe is still there – but said vibe is taken from the elements of a classic ’80s beat-heavy ballad. Though instead of landing in ballad territory itself, ‘The Worst Time’ adds a touch of disco to its production – for a more contemporary feel. It also finds Daniel at his strongest so far, in terms of melody composition.
