What’s this? New music from Icelandic artist Daniel Oliver. He’s out with the second single from his forthcoming debut album. This is ‘Jaded’.
What’s it like? Neon-drenched synthpop that manages to sound futuristic while simultaneously having a definite retro edge to it, too. On the track, Daniel treats us to a journey via his vocals that is as fast-paced as the journey back to the ’80 he’s taking us on via the production. From his voice we hear longing in the verse, urgency in the chorus, and a tripped-out falsetto in the middle eight.
