What’s this? Swedish artist Daniel Mitsogiannis has spent the last decade or so (ever since delivering the iconic Melodifestivalen 2008 entry, ‘Pame‘) starring in musical theatre and touring Sweden with his band Le Crash. But now he’s out with some music of his own – brand-new single ‘Watch Out’.
What’s it like? Dark synthpop that’s been camped-up and brought out into the light by some fabulous sonic and lyrical drama. If, like us, you’ve been missing not only Daniel Mitsogiannis since 2008, but also the sounds of BWO, then ‘Watch Out’ is well worth watching out for.
What does Daniel say? ”This song was written at a critical turning point for me. A song about making amends, gathering your strength and eventually coming out stronger on the other side. My brother worked with me on this track. Together we gave it this “Depeche-esque” sound with some dramatic change of keys. Miss Angelina came into the studio and delivered som awesome backingvocals. I would think this song is perfect for your running-playlist.”
Written by? Daniel Mitsogiannis and Bruno Mitsogiannis. Produced by Anders Berlin.
More from Daniel? Swedish producer SoundFactory has turned in an excellent remix of the song, too.
