The second episode of Songland aired in Sweden last night – the TV show in which up-and-coming songwriters get the chance to pitch their songs to a different artist each week, with every episode resulting in a winning song – and a new single for that artist. This week, it was Cornelia Jakobs having her pick of compositions. The songwriter Fredrika Brunius ended up impressing her the most, with the song ‘Bloody Mind’ – an emotional ballad that builds in production (and intensity) as it plays out. Cornelia makes it her own via that inimitable vocal, and she’s released it as her new single!
