That rather niche Danish pop band from the ’90s, Cartoons, have inexplicably just gone and released their first new music in 18 years. Somewhere within that time frame, they’ve made the decision to drop the techno-billy sound they were once synonymous with, and have instead gone full après-ski. Given that they’ve been back and playing retro-pop festivals for the past couple of years, a new song tailored towards party-loving adults is probably a smart move. And ‘Shots’ has been written with some names behind some of your favourite Eurovision and Nordic national-final songs – Thomas Stensgaard, Linnea Deb and Frazer Mac.
