Swedish artist Annika Herlitz has just come out with this winter themed treat. She’s perhaps best known in Sweden as the voice behind Elsa in the Swedish dub of Frozen. Though most Scandipop readers around the rest of the world will know her from when she participated in Melodifestivalen last year. She returns with her first new music since then. Written in collaboration with Andreas Grube, ‘Decembersnö’ is a gorgeous festive ballad that is dramatic enough to have been taken from a musical, though well produced enough to have been taken from the centerpiece of a film. Don’t be put off by its dark and down-tempo sensibilities – ‘Decembersnö’ is an instant hit that we loved on first listen.
You can find ‘Decembersnö’ on our A Scandipop Christmas playlist.
