15 years ago, Anna Sahlene’s recording of ‘Brief And Beautiful’ was released to radio, but – for reasons unknown – was never released as a single. Until now, that is.
However, in all honesty, we can count three other artists who have released their own recording of the song in those 15 years since – so we’re far more excited about Anna’s Swedish-language version of it, ‘En Vacker Illusion’, which has also just been released. That’s something we’ve never heard before, and we already know it’s going to be something we’ll be playing a lot over these next few weeks, in dire need of a cosy winter warmer.
It forms part of her forthcoming EP, ‘Pop Box’, which she’s promised to add more tracks to soon. Love this approach. Give us all of the archives, Anna!
