What’s this? New music from talented Swedish newcomer Amskøld. His latest single ‘Cry To A Stranger’.
What’s it like? Dreamy synthpop that’s been elevated even further by what’s an undeniably beautiful melody that hooks you in on that very first listen.
What does Amskøld say? “It’s a catchy pop song with ’80s elements about wanting to live life to the fullest, and not worry about anything. The song talks about what things used to be like in the past, how easy it was to make new memories, but in the present, describes a craving to be spontaneous and the longing to just get drunk and cry to a stranger. I miss being able to be spontaneous and simply live life.”
Written by? Amskøld himself, along with Amanda Kongshaug, Gustav Blomberg and Jacob Werner.
More from Amskøld? Last year he competed in P4 Nästa, with the song ‘Standby‘.
