They’re back! After debut single ‘Never Gonna Say I’m Sorry‘, Sweden’s A*Base returned over the weekend with the follow-up – ‘All That She Wants’.
What’s it like? An absolute joy! It’s a respectable cover of one of Ace of Base’s most iconic hits. They’ve stayed true to the Bacardi & Coke reggae-pop origins of the classic we all know and love. And given it a shiny 2015 gloss. We really do love the very existence of an Ace of Base covers band. And it’s a relief that they’re getting it so RIGHT too.
More to come soon? We’re getting an EP in the near future. And while they’re signed to an indie in Sweden, they’ve just been signed by a major label for an international launch. That’s why unlike their debut, this new single hasn’t yet been released outside of the Nordics. It has bigger plans in store for it.
Something else seems a bit different this time too….. Yeah that’ll be the members. Malin walked out of the band. And has been replaced by Julia. Welcome Julia!
