Allsång På Skansen and Lotta På Liseberg may have finished their eight week stretches, but Sommarkrysset still has a few shows left in its longer ten week run, and was broadcast last night on Swedish TV.
This was an exciting one because it was the first big TV performance of one of the most promising new pop acts to come out of Sweden this year – ISA. She performed her debut single ‘BOMB‘, giving the tune and a half that it is, the big exposure that it deserves. So ‘props’ to Sommarkrysset for giving a slot to an up and coming artist who’s technically not really had a hit yet. Naturally, the song has since headed back into the iTunes top 20. We hope it can beat its top 10 peak from a couple of months back.
Also on the bill were Björn Ranelid and Sara Li. Notable in that as well as performing their Melodifestivalen hit ‘Mirakel’, Sara also got to do a song on her own – a cover of Whitney Houston’s ‘I Wanna Dance With Somebody’. Less notable in that it meant that Björn Ranelid got to do a solo track too….
