SVT have announced six more participants for Melodifestivalen 2009. And they’re the names we’ve been waiting for! We’ll be writing lots more about these delectable ladies in future ‘Melodifestivalen Files’, but for now, you can see that it’s the most exciting list of acts so far revealed. Also, Shirley Clamp’s entry isn’t a ballad as was previously rumoured – it’s a melody driven uptempo number. And with THOSE writers (see below) at the helm, it all looks rather promising for the ‘marmite’ of the Schlager divas!!! Amy Diamond has also stated that her song is uptempo, as opposed to the rumoured ballad she was performing, which is probably for the best given the inevitable comparisons with Molly Sanden that are going to be dissected. We really could write about these six all day but we’ll save it for said ‘Melodifestivalen Files’ in the future! For now, you can salivate over the list below!
