Here’s a pair of young ladies that we reckon we’ll be hearing a lot more from in the near future. Signed to Style of Eye’s new record label it’s Sharks – and their explosive introductory single ‘Wait’.
It’s a carefree dance pop anthem about not wanting to wait – because if you wait while you’re young then you miss out on fun and stuff. Quite.
Comparisons to Icona Pop will be inevitable where their sound is concerned, and to Rebecca & Fiona where their look is concerned. But in terms of their sound at least, we’re hearing a much more club orientated version of the Icona Popsters – and comparisons are actually quite fair, since Linus Eklöw (Style of Eye) produced them, and has also produced Icona Pop’s biggest hits too.
Sharks are Sophia Englund and Susanna Friberg. And we already love them a little bit.
