ShacklesMediumRes 4 NYPop duo Shackles have just put out a new single in their native Norway, and with it comes a video.

You should hopefully remember Shackles from their ace single earlier this year, ‘Remember‘. And will definitely remember J-Son from his collaboration with Eric Saade a few months back – the also ace ‘Hearts In The Air‘.

‘Overtime’ sees the Shackles girls Charlotte and Lwam stay true to the retro electro sound that they tampered with and perfected in ‘Remember’. With ‘Overtime’, they give it a slight urban makeover, but it’s still very much pop. The production sounds thrilling on a set of good speakers – particularly during the chorus, and behind J-Son’s rapped middle eight.

Oh and the lyrics contain swearing – the word FUCK. Hooray! And it’s not from him either, it’s from the girls. We do like our pop to have an artificial and contrived edge. We do!
