Hello all!
It is with a heavy heart, being suffocated by volcanic ash filled lungs, that we have to announce that Ms Sarah Dawn Finer won’t be able to come to London this weekend to perform at scandipop.
Despite the air travel situation starting to be kind of alright again after the Icelandic volcanic eruption, there is a worry that even if Sarah CAN travel to London on Saturday, she might have a bit of trouble getting back home again. Which is a fair concern. So she’s had to cancel. She’s asked us to let you all know though that she’s very sorry about the situation and would have loved to have been able to come without any difficulties.
Can you imagine – a scandipop event has been almost thwarted by one of our very own nations; Iceland?!
However (part 1), she will be rescheduling at a later date.
However (part 2), the scandipop event is still going ahead on Sunday as planned (with a heavily slashed admission charge obviously – £3)! It’s been FAR too long since Brits have had the chance to have a good ol’ dance on home turf to all our favourite Scandinavian schlager, dance, and pop. And of course, it’ll be the first scandipop event since Melodifestivalen 2010 – meaning that it’ll be the first time we’ve been able to play the likes of ‘Kom’, ‘Manboy’, ‘Jag Vill Om Du Vager’, ‘Human Frontier’, ‘Unstoppable’…..oh there’s just so many!
So….this Sunday. 7pm until 11pm. Escape. Brewer St. Soho. London. £3. KOM!
